SMALL SPARKS APPLICATION


Details:

The Small Sparks Program is intended to support projects by residents near downtown Myrtle Beach that will positively impact the neighborhood and/or surrounding area. Residents are eligible to apply individually or as a team! If you don’t live in the neighborhoods below, team up with someone who does! Requests may not exceed $500.00.

Applications will be evaluated based upon: 

  • Location: Applicant must be a resident of Racepath, Carrie Mae, Harlem, Booker T Washington, Withers Swash, or Ramsey Acres

  • Need 

  • Capacity to carry out the project in a reasonable timeframe 

  • Will the project impact the neighborhood’s quality of life? 

  • Will it generate excitement/interest and engagement in the neighborhood? 

  • Will it be visible? 

Process for Applications 

  1. Applications will be accepted through July 17, 2023. 

  2. Applications will be sent directly to Habitat for Humanity of Horry County

  3. Applications will be reviewed by a team of resident leaders 

  4. Awarded projects will be notified by July 24, 2023  

  5. Projects are to be completed and the final report with receipts must be submitted by October 23, 2023  

  6. Funds will be disbursed in conjunction with expenses, and grantees will receive implementation coaching.
